I made a cake for another 21st birthday over the weekend 🙂 He’s a really good friend of mine, and was more than happy to be asked to bake his 21st birthday cake! Had the celebration at a place called Food for Thought. It’s a really really nice place, i think i should share it with all of you!
Also, going to share two pieces of good news. Heh, happy blog post!
A really homely place, located opposite the National Library.
Food is prepared just over the counter! You can see them prepare your food on the spot 🙂 Staff are really friendly too.
One of the cakes for sale. Hahaha! Kidding, thats the cake i made for my friend. It was just displayed there for the time being. I even joked about putting a price there to see if anyone would buy it 😛 But then again, we booked the whole place. So.. No other person actually got to see it. Hahaha.

Forgot what this was called. Snail Sausage Pasta i’m guessing? It was not bad.
Some chicken thing my friend had. It was quite a big portion! Was good.
That was what i had! Shitake Mushroom Pasta. Awesomeness. 2 thumbs up! Love how they prepared the tomatoes.
Oh my gosh, the pizza was good too! Smoked duck pizza!
And i really liked their red velvet cake 🙂
Do visit them! They have awesome food, service, and the prices are really reasonable. Was really impressed by this little place!

This was the cake! Looked like a wedding cake before i added the details 😛 My friend’s an awesome pianist and loves photography. Thus the design.

French genoise, brushed with coffee, layered with chocolate buttercream. Covered with fondant. Was quite shy about the cake at the party, especially when i got the oohs and ahhs and the “omg you made it?!” Heh. The responses i got was amazing really 🙂

Now back to reality. It’s only about 11:30pm. And i feel the monday blues kicking in already. Grrr.
