Blackberry Sorbet

I love making sorbets. And its interesting to try out many different types of sorbets. Love it especially when it’s ingredients are really simple, few and easy to get šŸ˜‰

You just need these ingredients šŸ™‚

Blackberry Sorbet
3/4 cup simple syrup (Equal parts of water and sugar, cook in a saucepan)
650g blackberries
1/4 cup lime juice

Simply blend everything together!

Watch it go round.. and round.. and round..

I left the seeds in my sorbet cos I thought that the seeds would be good! Like for fibre and all that. But if you want (like most people), strain the fruit puree first, then blend them together. It works awesome both ways šŸ™‚

Chill the combination in the fridge first!

It’s best to use an icecream maker. I’m using my KA’s ice cream attachment btw šŸ™‚ Boyfriend got it for me together with my dream KA for my birthday last year šŸ˜€

After chilling, place in ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions until you get a nice smooth, thick and scoopable sorbet šŸ˜‰

Transfer to a container and freeze to firm up šŸ™‚ Easy peasy!

And to those who don’t have an ice cream machine.. Fret not. This can be done without an icecream machine! Place the mixture in a cold bowl (like a metal bowl) and freeze for an hour or so. Beat with a whisk or just mix it around a bit then return to freezer. Repeat this step at least 3 times hourly until you get the sorbet texture!

Have fun you guys šŸ™‚

  2. i can’t believe i just wasted the last of my blackberries on a cobbler. okay, so they weren’t wasted, but this would’ve been so much better!

especially on a warm sunny day! šŸ˜‰

    • yeah, they’re awesomely simple to make!
but for some fruits, the amount of syrup differs.
cos some fruits contain more water!
and thus can make them really icy šŸ˜¦
      you’re most welcome dear!

    • heh youre most welcome dear.
